I found the
clippings in my father's stuff a
couple of years ago after he
died. My father and my Uncle
Mac (Foster's dad) ran Spadafora
Bros. Printing together (their motto
was "We print everything but
money!") They really enjoyed
working with the students from RFA
on The Echo. They were
particularly impressed with Carol
and Marisa! In fact, I think
they won an award for the best high
school newspaper or something.
Mr. Khan was a real character!
I can't remember what he taught at
RFA...maybe history...He and my dad
would work on The Echo and then come
next door to our house and start
drinking and trading stories.
Mr. Khan has some amazing stories
about how his family were detainees
in the camps in California during
WWII. He died several years
ago of cancer. - Susan
