I met Robert in junior
high school Always liked him. He
seemed serious at a young age. I
was glad to reconnect with him at the
20 year RFA reunion. - Dennis Parrish
My
memories are fragmented, but I
remember Rob from way back. He
transferred to Columbus elementary
School in 5th or 6th grade. We played
basketball and other games together in
the Columbus School gym. We were also
on the CYO Basketball team together in
7-8th grade. We went to Woodstock '99
together—along with Mark Burneko and
Rick Salerno—and slept in a Winnebago.
(What a nightmare that was.)
I'll admit it's scary seeing old
friends die prematurely. Having
escaped death a few dozen times, I
know it can come at any time. As our
great American songwriter, protest
singer and political activist Phil
Ochs once sang, "There but for fortune
go you or I." - Philip Domenico
I just can’t believe
this. He was so heavy on my mind
the last month. I kept saying to
myself you have to reach out to him
and see how he is doing. We have
kept in contact over the years and now
he is gone. My heart is
broken. Robert and I were in
kindergarten together at Lillian
O’burns and went all the way to 12th
grade at RFA. - Saneen Armstrong

I am
so sorry to hear this! We had a nice
conversation at our 40th. - Susan

My sincere condolences
to Bob’s family in this difficult
time. I first met Bob when we
went to Staley Junior HS. Seems like a
long time ago. Which it is. I
will always remember Bob as a great
guy with a kind soul. Life can be
difficult at times and as we get older
we often reflected on our life and
those that have gone on before
us. We are fortunate to have
some great memories and it helps us to
endure that hard times. Rest in peace
Bob. Thank you for the good memories.

I’m
am shocked by this news, just saw this
email chain. Bob and I were
great friends. We had a
chance to speak often in the last
couple years. He enjoyed his
lawn cutting job at the cemetery, and
I was looking forward to catching up
with him at the BBQ this summer. He’s
at peace now with our
Lord. Bob will be missed.

I saw Rob last
summer. It was nice to see him and talk
a bit. Still as handsome and friendly as
ever. - Dianne Blake
May Robert's
memory be eternal. So sad. - Steve Miroy
