Lauren Gail Jones
Heagle, 66, passed away at her
home in Murrells Inlet, SC,
Wednesday, May 30, 2018. Lauren
was born on March 24, 1952 in
Washington DC, the daughter of
the late Edward Salisbury Jones
and the late Lael Kinnison
Putnam. She was predeceased by
her step father, Arthur G.
Putnam. She graduated from Rome
Free Academy in 1970. She earned
her degree in English Literature
from Saint Lawrence University
and settled in Syracuse. Lauren
worked for USAir for 22 years.
On April 19, 1986, she married
Ernest Heagle. She was a devoted
gardener, highly-skilled
seamstress, and well-known for
her homemade cakes and pies. She
was also a passionate reader.
Survivors include her beloved
husband of 32 years, Ernest
Heagle; sister, Kristine
Montalbano (Michael); brothers,
Garrett Jones (Dawn) and Barton
Jones (Ann Marie); sister,
Priscilla Engel (Steven);
brother, James Putnam (Connie);
step daughters, Lorrie Heagle,
Rebecca Heagle-Fox, Jennifer
Moltrup (Jamie); 9
grandchildren, 5
great-grandchildren; and many
nieces and nephews.
There will be a private
graveside service for family.
Memorial contributions may be
made to the American Cancer
Society.

through 7-12 grade in homerooms, see
our 9th grade pictures at Strough.
All three were very nice and fun to
know and now Lauren is gone, very
