David Weisenburger

November 26, 1931 - February 27, 2012

David F. Weisenburger, age 80, of Rome, passed away February 27, 2012, from complications of leukemia. He was born November 26, 1931, in Pulaski, a son of Alfred and Mabel Fox Weisenburger. David married Lena (Nancy) Neill on June 30, 1951, in Sandy Creek. He taught Industrial Arts and substitute taught at Rome Free Academy, retiring after 50+ years of service. David is survived by his wife, Nancy, a daughter and three sons. Funeral services with military honors will be held Saturday at 9:45 AM from the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, Rome, and at 10:30 AM at St. Paul's Church. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery in the spring. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday 4 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in memory of David be made to the Humane Society of Rome or Rome Elks Renovation - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
