Charlene R. Morrison, 68, of Rome, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at the St. Luke’s Home in New Hartford after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Born in Rome on March 3, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Milton and Marion (Beard) Hayner. She was a graduate of Rome Free Academy and on June 10, 1977, she was united in marriage to Gordon Morrison.

Charlene worked in offices of the Salvation Army and St. John the Baptist Church for many years. She was a soldier in the Salvation Army.

Surviving besides her loving husband, Gordon, are three sons, Robb (Jeana) Morrison, Christopher Morrison and Matthew (Wendy) Morrison; two sisters, Phyllis (Jack) Olmstead and Marion Smith; one brother, Milton Hayner Jr.; seven grandchildren, Joshua Moonen, Wendy Lee Morrison, Connor Morrison, Kevin Gill and Zayne, Hannah and Dakota Morrison; four great-grandchildren, Victoria, Mariska, Zeke and Xaver; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Sandra Brant, and a brother, Harvey Hayner.
