William
E. “Bill” French, 63, of Utica and formerly
of Rome, passed away on Saturday, March 28,
2015. He was born March 3, 1952 in
Kirksville, MO, the son of Edwin and Dorothy
French. He was a graduate of Rome Free
Academy. He served in the United States Air
Force during the Vietnam War Era from
1971-1975.
Bill worked for Radio Shack, A & M
Amusements and the Sovena Olive Oil
Company.
He is survived by his longtime companion,
Carol Gravelin of Utica; three sons, William
(Monika) French of Rome, David (Jennifer
Jackson) French of Rome, and Nathaniel
French of Rome; a sister, Julie Beczvar of
Pocatello, ID; four grandchildren; and
several nieces and nephews. He was
predeceased by a son, Christopher Collatz;
and brother, Robert French.
