Ted Herper
August 5, 1951 - February 10, 2018
Theodore "Ted"
Herper, 66, of Rome, passed away on Saturday,
February 10, 2018. He was born in Rome on
August 5, 1951 the son of the late Teddy and
Mary "Dolly" Esposito Herper. He was a
graduate of Rome Free Academy. On July 1,
1972, he was united in marriage to Deborah
Wilson.
Ted worked at PJ Green in Utica for 27 years
before retiring from Turning Stone Resort and
Casino after 15 years.
He loved going to the ocean, being with family
and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving besides his loving wife of 45 years,
Deborah, are; two children, Jennifer Stoever
of Sea Bright, NJ, and Theodore (Lily) Herper
of Camden; a sister, Linda (Lowell) Johnson of
South Carolina; a brother-in-law, Mike (Betty)
Wilson of Mississippi; four grandchildren,
Chase and Silas Herper, and the joys of his
life Preston and Piper Stoever; and several
nieces and nephews.
Ted's family would like to thank the Visiting
Nurses Association, especially Diane, and
Hospice and Palliative Care for their
wonderful care and compassion.
Private services will be held at the
convenience of the family. There are no
calling hours. Contributions in Ted's memory
may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Nunn and
Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St.,
Rome.
