I
always liked Steve and we had a lot of
laughs in school. Life can indeed be
very hard at times and we often travel
different roads but I for one will try
to remember the good times with Steve.
He always had a great smile.
I hope you found peace
and we can get together again down the
road to have more good times. Until then my friend.

Steven was a good friend of mine
who had also lived on Griffiss Air Force
Base. We hung out often at King Pin
Lanes bowling and shooting pool with his
brother Ralph and Jimmy Snead. Plenty of
fond memories from my younger days. -

I'm sorry to
hear about his death after all these
years. Steve was in my junior year gym
class. He made me feel welcome at RFA
since I was a new kid in town. May
Steve's memory be eternal. I have
another memory of Steve, we were sitting
by the parking lot behind Rome Bargain
Center and he'd just returned from the
draft. He said he was going to get a job
at the mill and work there for 40 years.
I envied how he'd planned out his life
at age 21. I'm sorry it didn't work out
for him. Now we get the twin curve balls
of Covid panic and race riots. I
sometimes wish life would have been as
easy as he'd dreamed. - Steve Miroy
