Shawn E. Miles, 66, of
Kinderhook died Monday, December 31, 2018 at
her home.
Born April 25, 1952 in Montreal, Canada, she
was the daughter of the late Alexander Lodge
and Eileen (Paschal) Lodge who resides in
Denver, CO.
Shawn was a
graduate of the Marcy School of Nursing
in Rome NY and later received her Nurse
Practitioner. She was employed by
several Utica area hospitals and later
retired as an Analyst from the New York
State Social Security Administration in
Albany. She enjoyed traveling with her
husband and spending time at their home
in the Villages in Florida. She loved
her puppies, working on puzzles and
family events and reunions.
She is survived by her husband: John R.
Miles, 2 sons, Don R. Miles and Jon R. Miles
both of Kinderhook, four sisters: Karen
Jordan and Debra Lodge both of Denver, CO,
Wendy Lodge of Rome, NY, and Vicki Mann of
Utica; a granddaughter, Naomi Shawn Miles
and several nieces and nephews. She was
predeceased by a sister, Carol McCaskill.
Calling hours will be Friday, January 4 from
6-8pm at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home,
Valatie, NY. In lieu of flowers,
contributions may be made to the American
Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike,
Rockville, MD 20852.
