Philip A. LeTray

    September 8, 1951 - September 3, 2017 

Philip A. LeTray, 65, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at home.

He was born on September 8, 1951 in Syracuse, the son of the late Arthur and Evelyn Collins LeTray and was educated in Rome schools. Phil faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from New York State in 2007 after 37 years of dedicated employment. He was of the Catholic Faith.

Philip is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Danielle and Chandler Wilcox; a son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Elizabeth LeTray, II; four cherished grandchildren, Philip, III, Nicholas, Alexis, and Kaitlyn; the mother of his children, Carol; a sister, Marie Van Dresar, all of Rome; two nieces, Amanda and Noelle.

He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tom Van Dresar.

In keeping with Mr. LeTray’s wishes, services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

The family is being served by the Gulla Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 209 N. Washington St., Rome.
