Anne
Eleanor Sexton, age 68, formerly of
Westernville, passed away on Tuesday,
December 10th, 2019 at the Oneida Extended
Healthcare Facility.
Born on August 6, 1951 in Rome, NY she was
the daughter of Donald A. and Eleanor
Pillmore Sexton. She graduated from Rome
Free Academy in 1970.
She was a member and past secretary of the
“Stella Amoris Triangle” in Rome for many
years, and was a member of the Westernville
Presbyterian Church, actively participating
in the church choir.
She volunteered for the Rome DDSO for
several years, and was named “Outstanding
Volunteer” of Rome, NY in 1980. She then
began working for the Central NY DDSO in
Rome full time, and retired after 25 years
of service.
Surviving are her mother – Eleanor P Sexton
of Rome, brothers Bruce and his wife Jackie
of Palm Bay, Florida, Dale of Westernville,
Brian and his wife Marie of Westernville,
Gary and his wife Sholeh of Nashua, New
Hampshire, Dennis and his wife Gail of Rome.
She was also a proud aunt to many nieces and
nephews.
The family would like to express their
gratitude to the staff at the Oneida
Extended Healthcare Facility for their care
and compassion during her stay.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Saturday
at the Westernville Presbyterian Church.
Interment will be in Westernville Cemetery
in the spring. Relatives and friends may
call at Church Saturday from 1 to 2 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to the
Westernville Presbyterian Church.
